The Department of History at The University of Rhode Island invites applications for a Lecturer in Medieval and Early-Modern Western European History for the academic year 2017-2018 (August 28, 2017- May 12, 2018), with the possibility of extension into subsequent years depending on funding.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Lecturer will be ready to teach a 4-4 schedule. Teaching responsibilities will entail introductory and upper-level courses in Medieval and Early-Modern European history.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

1. Ph.D. with a concentration in Medieval or Early Modern European History, ABD will be considered.

2. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

3. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups.

4. Demonstrated effective teaching experience.

5. Demonstrated proficiency in oral communication skills.
